Heating oil tanks and storage
If you're new to home heating oil, you might like to familiarise yourself with your oil storage tank, including:
- which type of home heating oil you use
- the capacity of your oil storage tank
- where the gauge is on your oil storage tank
- if your oil storage tank has been inspected in the last 12 months by an OFTEC Registered Technician
- the material your oil storage tank is made from could be steel or plastic
- if your oil storage tank needs to be bunded (have secondary containment) - your OFTEC Registered Technician will advise on this
- if the base of your oil storage tank is properly supported
