Automated Top up service
With BUTLER FUELS, remembering to order your Heating Oil doesn't have to be a
hassle. Our free Top Up package is designed to provide you with a consistent and
reliable supply of fuel. Whenever your tank is running low, we'll automatically come
and refill it - you don't have to remember to call and place an order. To find out more,

Manually ordering heating oil
If you choose not to be on our Top Up service, you need to remember that when
you use Home Heating Oil, it is not like being on a mains-connected service – with
Heating Oil, the onus is on you to order your own supplies in advance.
Heating Oil consumption varies according to your personal situation. For example,
if you are not at home during the day and do not need to heat a large number of
rooms, your consumption will be low. However, your requirements may be very
different and we recommend you monitor your consumption and the level in the tank
frequently. This is especially important during cold spells and around Christmas time
when delivery lead times will be longer. You will need to order well in advance to
ensure that you do not run out.
Obtaining a quote from BUTLER FUELS is simple. You can:
Pricing
There are advantages of Heating Oil over mains supplied services. There are no
standing charges for Heating Oil - you pay for the oil you use and nothing more.
Pricing is directly linked to the oil trading price and the retail market is highly
competitive and as such is self regulating. You will pay the pence per litre rate on the
day of order.
Budgeting
On average a household will order Heating Oil 2-3 times a year and usually around
Autumn and Winter. To help you to budget, we offer our Simple Pay Direct Debit service. Simple Pay spreads the cost of your heating over the year so that you do not
need to find large lump sums 2-3 times per year. If you would like to pay by Direct

Safety
At BUTLER FUELS we always think "safety first". We implement our procedures
in the best interests of Health and Safety and to comply with legislation, but more
importantly to fulfil our commitment to the protection of you and your home, our
colleagues, the general public and the environment.
Before making a delivery, our driver will assess the site and check that it is safe. If he
determines it is not safe, he will let both you and our operations team know, so that
we can see if we can provide help and advice on practical solutions that may make
your tank more secure and allow future deliveries to take place safely. The kind of
safety issues our driver would look out for will include:
- Safe access to the site
- Location and access to your tank
- The condition of the tank and associated equipment
- Other - any reason in this category will be stated on the paperwork you
receive from our driver

Maintenance
As with all heating appliances, regularly serviced equipment will be more efficient
-saving you money. It will also be far less likely to break down at times when it is
needed most. Aim to have your boiler serviced in the summer so it is ready well in
time for colder weather.
